An open archive for the science of energy

ErgonXiv makes early research visible quickly, with a permanent citable DOI, before or alongside formal peer review. We cover nanotechnology, advanced materials, geothermal, solar, wind, renewables, economics, and new technologies.

ErgonXiv is not a journal.It performs screening, not peer review. Posting on ErgonXiv is not an endorsement of a work's validity, conclusions, or quality. Readers must evaluate preprints critically and look for a later peer-reviewed version of record.

Sponsorship & independence

ErgonXiv is founded and financially supported by GEIOS Technologies, the disclosed founding sponsor. To protect integrity, ErgonXiv operates under a strict independence firewall.

  • No sponsor influence on individual decisions. Moderation is performed solely by the Editorial Office against published criteria.
  • No preferential treatment. GEIOS-affiliated submissions are screened under the same criteria and flagged for conflict-of-interest review.
  • Transparency. The sponsor relationship is disclosed in the footer, here, and in the notes of every published record.
  • Financial scope. GEIOS funds infrastructure, DOI costs, and operations only — never placement, visibility, or outcomes.

Screening, not peer review

A scope, integrity, and format check by a human curator — never a judgment of scientific correctness.

Versioning with DOIs

Each version gets its own DOI; a concept DOI resolves to the latest. Earlier versions are never deleted.

Open licensing

Authors retain copyright and choose an open license (default CC BY 4.0). Metadata is released under CC0.

Permanent record

DOIs are permanent. Withdrawn records keep a public tombstone for the scholarly record.
